You want to find the right job - one that works with the goals you've set for your career and your life. The right job can improve your quality of life, and believe it or not, quality of life (whatever that may mean for you) is possible.
During the tech boom of the late 1990s, many firms scrambled to fill office space so that they could properly staff deals or litigation matters. These days, employers hire to fill a need, not just an office, and getting the right person to fill that need is just as important to an employer as finding the right job is to you.
Employers are as individual as the attorneys who populate them. We can help you find the right one for you.
If you've never been a lateral candidate - or even if you have - you might want to know how our process works. Each search is, of course, tailored to a specific candidate's needs, but for all of our candidates we adhere to strict standards of service and confidentiality.
1) Before we submit your resume to any employer(s) we will
conduct a consultation with you to learn about your
needs and goals.
2) We will help you develop your resume and get you
thinking about your marketable talents as they relate to
the type of position you're looking for.
3) We will meet with you face to face.
4) Once you are ready, and only with your specific approval,
we will submit your paperwork (usually a resume, law school
transcript and cover letter) to the employers that
we have, together, identified as meeting your needs.
5) We will follow up on submissions and alert you to any
new positions that arise which meet your criteria.
6) During the interview process, we will function as your
strategic partner. We will arrange the dates and times of your
interviews according to your schedule. We will prepare you
for your meetings, and we will provide feedback once those
meetings have concluded.
Throughout the process, we will be right beside you. We will offer advice, opinion, counsel and a great sounding board. But at the end of the day, this is your search, and we will do what's best for you. It is your career, and you are in charge of it.
As a candidate and a lawyer, you know that finding the right position can take time and effort. It's often a full-time job; but you already have a full-time job, and while your time is spent practicing law and servicing your clients, our time and effort is spent helping you get where you need to be.
