are Jill Sapphire. I was born and raised in Los Angeles,
California. I earned my bachelor's degree in English and American
literature from Brandeis University and graduated from Boston
University School of Law in 1994. I practiced as a litigator for four
years with prestigious international law firms.
In 1998, having served on various recruiting and summer program
committees as an attorney, I determined that my true interest and
passion lay with helping my firms grow.
Getting to know the people with whom I would be working and helping
them integrate into the firm culture was incredibly rewarding for me. I
found that I was just as dedicated to making sure that the people I
worked with were happy as I was to making sure that the clients were
happy. After a great deal of thought and consideration, I transitioned
from practicing law to recruiting full-time.
Since then, I have held positions as recruiting manager for an
international firm and a regional firm, both in California. I've also
been a consultant for two Los Angeles-based legal search firms.
I've seen the recruiting process from all sides (including as a
candidate). I know how law firms think, and I know what it's like to be
a lateral attorney looking for a great job. With more than 10 years
of experience as an attorney and a recruiter, I approach the search
process from a unique perspective.
What

recruiting philosophy requires nothing less.

I made my very first placement in December of 1998, and that attorney
is still at the firm where I placed her. More importantly, she is happy
and enjoys a successful career. I am honored to have participated in
improving her quality of life and helping her find a great job that met
her personal and professional goals. Since then, I've helped dozens of
attorneys find just what they were looking for. I would welcome the
